Protecting the environment is a priority for Les Gets!

Protecting the environment is a priority for Les Gets!

So that we can all contribute to preserving biodiversity and the environment, let's take action, even on holiday.

The resort has already taken steps in this direction:
- The introduction of free shuttles to encourage public transport
- The rational management of artificial snow, with moderate use of artificial snow to preserve water resources
- Protecting flora and fauna by creating protected areas
- Promoting local products and short circuits to encourage a local economy
- Wooden ski passes, which have less impact on the environment
- A smoke-free ski area, a gesture for the environment and the health of our users
- The Escale Vélo label for accommodation that welcomes mountain bikers

Help us to preserve our resort's environment: put everything on I save ...

Holidaymakers can take a number of initiatives:
- Manage your electricity consumption by switching off lights, TVs, etc. when you are not in the room or flat.
- Save water, control water consumption by taking short showers and turning off the tap when not in use
- Control the temperature and heating: there's no point in leaving the windows open if the heating is on, remember to turn it off before airing out your home.
- Recycle: recycling bins are available throughout the resort (cf : https://www.lesgets.com/app/uploads/2020/04/OTLesGets-PlanDechet-ok.pdf)
- Use public transport or soft mobility, in particular with GetsLib: electric bicycles available at low cost
- Use eco-cups: bring your own eco-cups to events and you'll be served inside.
- Recycle your ski passes

The actions put in place by everyone help to reconcile tourist activities and environmental protection.

Remember that every action is important and can have a positive impact on the environment.
