Safety rules on the slopes
Protective equipment is not made to decorate
But to protect,
Leaving them at home will not be of any use to you
Unless you want to put yourself in danger!
That is why to be safe, you need good quality equipment.
It’s possible with skis and sticks well adjusted and adapted to your level so that injuries are avoided.
Wear gloves, for your safety,
They will protect you from the cold and avoid cutting you.

For adults, a helmet is strongly recommended.
It is mandatory for children under 12 years of age, in order to protect them.

Some safety precautions must also be observed,
Attention to priorities:
If I am upstream, I do not have priority over the downhill skiers.
Because I can adapt my trajectory.
Be careful not to stop in the middle of the tracks:
But on the side, to ensure the safety of all.
Control your speed
By adapting your speed you reduce the risk of accidents.
Respecting the signage and the marking is super important,
Not to bother you but so that you can ski in peace.
Equipment, respect and vigilance,
Safety first is our chance!
If you witness an accident, assist the victim(s),
Protecting the victim(s),
(--> put your skis, snow or sticks upstream of the victim to avoid an accident)
By alerting,
(--> alert ski Patrol rescuer so that they can intervene as soon as possible)
By helping
(--> do nothing without a first aid attendant, talk to the victim and cover them so they don’t get cold and stay awake while waiting for help)
