Les Gets is a popular mountain destination. The resort implements sustainable initiatives and promotes environmentally friendly behavior. Discover the initiatives implemented below:
- Ecological transport: the resort encourages the use of public transport, buses and the little train operate in season to ensure connections between the village center and the hamlets. In summer, the station provides GetsLib', self-service electric bikes which make traveling around the station easier.
- Waste management: the station sets up recycling collection points throughout the village, residents are encouraged to recycle and reduce their waste as much as possible.
- Environmental awareness: in order to raise awareness among as many people as possible to take care of our mountains, mountain waste collection is organized every year after each season.
- The resort offers a range of beech wood packages to reduce plastic consumption. Remember that 40,000 passes per year are issued to skiers and mountain bikers who use the ski lifts.
- The resort has also become the first tobacco-free ski area in Europe. An anti-pollution initiative, but also one that helps fight against passive smoking
Created in 2000, the wood boiler room runs on shredded wood and supplies 12 municipal buildings via a heating network of more than one km

- Nature conservation: the municipality is committed to the protection of Black Grouse, a protected species present throughout the ski area. Wintering areas are now marked and accompanied by information panels to reduce disturbance. In the spring, the areas are cleared and maintained to make the areas accessible for reproduction.
- Local and sustainable products: local restaurants and businesses highlight local products, thus promoting responsible consumption. Seasonal and organic products are also increasingly used.
